I'm a learner like you Sandra... I know what I want but getting the camera to agree with me is another issue... :) so, may as well have fun, see what happens and the big bonus is UF users to the rescue LOL...

Now for me... I like the tones Sandra... and feel if too light, makes it hard and takes away the sweet intimacy... :) That's just me...
However, maybe a large sheet of white cardboard bouncing the natural light from opposite side, just might give the soft lift without adding a harshness... Hope that makes sense... :)

Sandra,it would appear that you have an editor, so, you should be able to make the necessary adjustments for yourself :-)
First, try by adjusting with the level command (different editors work in different ways, I use photoshop)Then try adjusting with the curve command. Just to get the tonal values more correct.
