Well done, as per your usual, Marcus. Such great clarity. In the thumbnail, you can readily identify a car in the background but with the full-size, it is barely noticeable. Gives it a nice color background.

Hi Marcus,
Great shot once more and an informative story in the about.
The background for this shot works really well. You have captured him in a very flattering pose and the light on the bird itself is excellent!
We had an article in the Toronto Star last weekend about the growing number of Songbirds and Predators that are actually quickly adapting to Urban areas. We even have some rare Peregrine Falcons nesting off the side of some of our city skyscrapers now. The Red Tailed Hawks and other raptors are helping to keep our pigeon population down too. Except for one that I saw a couple of weeks ago sitting with two pigeons on a road light standard :) It seems the Hawks are almost more comfortable in trees at the side of the highways than they are in the woods. Maybe they have gotten used to spotting prey crossing the road instead of hunting in the bush and fields?

I can see a blured car at the background, was it the same car with which the hawk was scared off ?
I understand that you have to very quick and sharp otherwise you have missed a great shot like this.
Of course having years of experience in wildlife shooting, you know how to manage the time...

As usual my friend, nothing much could be said about your bird series, they are very much in real action with very impressive exposures and very great details , the Perfect issues of timing and balance between the volume of light and the speed of the shutter.

Another nice shot!Didnt notice the background earlier on a smaller screen now i can see clearly on this 21" screen the car and the driver that scarred the hawk .

very nice capture, Marcus. I often see hawks and kites hunting along the highway 4 corridor, but I'm not able to get my camera out at 65 mph ;)
These creatures are just amazing-- I love watching them hunt...the hoovering then the swoop!

Wow, another beauty Marcus, the lighting is great. What really makes this one stand out is the background, not sure if it's a car, but the colour and bokeh are great. For an in-flight shot, I can't find anything to critique, simply a very nice photo.
