Here we have a very similar looking plant that is called Chinese Lanterns. Ours tend to be an orangey colour. Your lighting for this is excellent. It really brings out the delicate, yet strong, intiguite nature of this beauty. Marvelous details. I love this.

Sí, Alicia. Pasaba una cierta hora en mi patio trasero en la sol con Diablo cuando noté esta vaina hermosa. Fui conseguir mi cámara fotográfica y decidía pasar la mañana que tomaba cuadros de algunas de las malas hierbas muertas hermosas. Éste era una de ellas. Ahh, gracias. Dave

WOw, this is a very cool shot! They do remind of chinese lanterns too! I love how you got this shot from underneath... it makes it look like it's towering over us, also makes the lighting coming through it very cool! I absolutely love this, excellent work here! :)
