Great image- the angle and warmth. And to have the letters prominant.

Well, bite your tongue, Andre! LOL!

This was shot a ISO 640, and I don't remember if I used the in camera noise reduction. Seems like it was set on the default setting. Still, not too bad for 640, it seems. I've no doubt more experimentation will be done on the Ford!

Cheers,
Kes

Hey!!! How you doin', Janet B?!? I was just thinking about you the other day. :) Glad to "see" ya!

Yes, finally, a camera! The D80 has been pretty fun so far. Just this evening I'm setting up some strobes & what-not....making a real mess of the living room.....to try it out on some portraits. Apparently it takes some adaptor (that I don't have) to connect my strobes to the hot shoe. :( Seems like some online article said the adapter was inexpensive. Other than that, pretty smooth sailing...of course I haven't read all of the owner's manual yet. Saving that for last.

So I can't really make a recommendation. I suppose if you can swing it, the D200 is sealed against the elements better. And it's built out of heavier materials.... heavier on the hiking trail too.

I'll post a separate link to Ken Rockwell's site, as it may take awhile for it to come up here. If it doesn't, you can Google his site and search it for a page called "Nikon D80 vs. D200". He can better answer your question.

Are you going to post some shots or just passing through? Either way, nice to hear from you, Janet!

Best wishes my friend!

Oh cool, Kes! Love the darkness in the center with the splashes of outer red hues. Composition is amazing...really love it!

So I see you got the D80...how are you liking it? I am debating between this and the D200 for an upgrade...leaning toward the D200 because of features and size. Anything you don't like about the D80? Your latest work is all fantastic with this camera! Congrats!

Hi Kes,
It's interesting that the comments so far have all been from men. You have to figure that there is something extremely attractive about these old beauties that touches a man's heart and soul.
I know this is not an exclusive thing with men, but we sure love our old cars and trucks :)

Yes, you're right dear Kes! This result is better than the original shot. I'm really enjoying that.

Best wishes,
Robert

Thanks Hanggan!

The darkness was a concern...the thumbnail won't draw many in but the "full" size image has a little better appeal. After a tow bar is removed I'll be able to include the front bumber with a similar angle, and perhaps increase interest. For another day! :)

Best regards,
Kes

Hi Jo! Thanks so much! Well, this helps answer if this was a good version...if Joćo Tavares likes it, that is good enough for me!

All the best my friend,

Thanks Robert! I did some post process removal of several artifacts....bright spots of paint...

Maybe I should have left them in. I kind of like the original. What do you think?
