Thanks Ray! Yes, this is as close to full frame that the lab I use can achieve. Comparing the negative to the print, it appears they can get real close to full frame with the 6x7 negative. It seems like they said small machine prints from 6x9 negatives would be cropped. I've been having some fun with an old Universal folder in 6x9 format. So far, the Mamiya has been the most unforgiving camera.
Hopefully I can get some recent shots with a Rolleicord up...in fact I'm "squaring off" to play with it today!
Cheers, Kes

Excellent details and textures to this wonderful addition to your travel series Kes. The colours to this are wonderful, dramatic and rich. Well taken photographic opportunity with a great crop (in camera?).
Many, many years ago I nearly bought the then model of a Mamiya Press.....I was working with a pair of Rolleiflexs at the time; aah...memories. Very best wishes to you my friend.......Ray

Thanks Joćo! I gave the Mamiya 23 back to it's owner, as research revealed there are more desirable lenses than he was offering. I'm currently playing with a Rolleicord and some old folders, fun stuff! Kes

Hi Kes, A very nice quality image! I really like that realistic look of the colour of the freight trains.
Now, I have to know... On my thumbnails, the title shows up as Red, "White, and Blue T" I thought, what a great title for this image. Then I open it up and the full title is "Red, White, and Blue Train" Did you plan it so that the title would cut short at "T" ? Or did you just get lucky? Here is a lyric for this one.
From Robbie Robertson's "Somewhere Down a Crazy River"
Catch the blue train To places never been before Look for me Somewhere down the crazy river Somewhere down the crazy river Catch the blue train All the way to Kokomo You can find me Somewhere down the crazy river
