Thank YOu dear Nicki - Of course I am Proud of my Mom's Garden & like to share it with You & everyone ... and You are right watering every single pot can be a Big job but alas it is raining again ......at least we won't have to worry about fires :))
So see I won't miss the floral job all that much ...and if I did I can always go back to hang around & get some pictures !

Oh Michele,this is such a nice,quiet and peaceful place.I would love to sit there and to smell all those beautiful flowers!!!! I bet your mother has a lot of work to do with all these flowers and plants.Amazing bright colors Michele.

Thank YOU so much Meg.... You really took a look to find this old image !!! Until the end of Jan. I was shooting with a cannon, point & shoot which actually looks pretty good (sometimes)- here I think it does-- but then I also love my Mom's garden- so I guess it's not a fair judgement :))

What a nice colorful garden your Mom has. It brighten's up when you feel sad.
Hope it helped you with the loss of your friend Rashed, as read here. Sorry, you got the news in such a strange confusing way. I came later to this Image Gallery, so I didn't have the privelege of knowing Rashed, but I understood he was a good friend of you.
I wish you a lot of strenght my dear friend to help you to accept and learn to handle this very sad loss of Rashed.

Hi Michele, NICE garden. I held my breath, I thought you were to tell us it was YOURS! You probably had a hand in it, though.
Nice colors, well balanced shot. I keep a small note paper in my wallet to be able to jot down anytime I see a possible subject to go back to photograph, or look at a subject and ask myself what it would be like under different lighting conditions. That way something like that you take for granted, like your mums garden might have gone 'unnoticed'. Sorry to bore you, M.

Michele,
I had posted a pic in memory of Rashed, it was on for a few days, and it was also on the usefilm blog, so many people learned the news that way. Since we didn't want to dwell on it, these have since been removed. I didn't want to blare it out in some announcement, in respect for the family, as I'm not sure of what they would feel would be appropriate. Since Rashed's brother Ali is taking over his site and has been going through his computer and online websites, I feel it's his place to make any such announcement. I'm sure that many people here still haven't heard the news, I'm hoping that his network of friends have passed the message along.

Chelsea, Thank you for the information... do you beleive it is true ? I had corresponded with him everday for almost 6 months but didn't want to move to a new site altho I checked it out..... I am very saddened by this news too... why didn't anyone post something on his site here? Do you know ?
I wonder why a brother would do something so cruel like this ?

So something has happend to Rashed? I knew he had a heart problem... but he was always so kind, and only happened on to that information by accident...
I hope to hear more about what is happening... since I seem to be in the midst... ??? I don't know why either...

Michele, I am very sad to say that Rashed's brother, Ali, had contacted me to tell me that Rashed had passed away. He'd had an ongoing heart condition for many years. I'm sorry that you have to find out this way, he was a very active participant on this site and made many friends, we are all very saddened by his departure.

I thought he was busy with his own web-site...
I hadn't heard from him in several weeks and was concernd... Please tell me he is alright ? I don't understand.. You are saying he has passed?
I too would be VERY SAD to hear of his passing , I just responded to this comment and ask about his health ?????

BTW Michele, lovely image! Overcast lighting is my favourite for foliage, especially colourful flowers, it brings the colour out nicely without the contrast. Tell you Mom I admire the work she's put into her garden. I like the angle at which this is taken. So many possibilities here, have you done closeups of individual flowers?
