Totally agree Mary . . . and that's why I don't do it. A second unfocused in Photography, particularly digital photography, is something I can handle and usually the pain is only the slight grimace when I view the raw image! LoL! I can live with that!
:)

Doyle I <~~~~~

This is really interesting. I'm glad I saw this as I didn't know about this method. Boy, those guys have to be so careful. This looks like dangerous work. All it would take is a second of not being focused and someone could get hurt. Great image.

Like I said earlier Ray . . . as a typical guy here . . . Show me fire and shiny stuff and I'm easily distracted!
LoL!

What a wonderful collection of shots you have acquired for this exciting new project my dear Doyle. This is an amazing shot that fully demonstrates the initial process very well. Full of drama and I guess a very powerful scene to witness. Excellent details and gorgeous colour tones my friend. Cheers Doyle......Ray

Thanks Laura . . . it was a great demonstration and these 'kids' (which is what they were to me) have been doing this for almost two decades. Guess I'm getting old(er)! LoL! Thanks for commenting!

Hehehehee - I gotta give Annemette a chuckle now and then . . . it's in my job description! You too on occasion! Don't worry about the limited vocabulary . . . I accept that as a great compliment! And any word from you is always welcome!

Thanks Hanggan! I liked the shed being worked in as a natural frame and composed it with that in mind.

Very good! The smoke hanging near the ground makes me think I am present. Colors, light and details are good.

A dramatic shot Doyle...I am at a loss of words and this rarely happens !
If I say 'excellent' AGAIN you will think my vocabulary so small. I agree with Robin on the low lighting to emphasis the fire, also with Phil and Rashed... Sorry or not sorry, but I don't know what you are doing like Annamette !!
Congratulations + very well done.
Michele~

Very nice moment and lighting. Nicely composed and framed, too. Good work, Doyle.

Thanks Phillip . . . suprisingly . . . the bursts of flame from the cherrywood mold were intermittent . . . but the capture of it gave the added Oooooomph! to the shot, IMO!

This is so cool...hot...I'm so confused! No really, it is a great shot and an unique addition to the new project. Love the low light, it helps bring all the attention to the fire and the task at hand. Nice job Doyle!
Take care...Robin

Dear Doyle
This technique looks very interesting! A very informative photo from a rustic glassworkshop.
I know this sounds crazy, but yesterday I had a feeling that you and Marlyce had gone to such a place to take shots. It“s easily for me to say now obviously, but I was rather sure of it and was amazed when seing your photos today!
So behave - I know everything that you do:-))))))
Best wishes,
Annemette
