Wonderful concept & perfectly executed. I think what makes this shine is the subtlty of the tones and lighting as well as the well-controlled depth of field. But all that aside, this is jst plain beautiful.

I really like the lighting and the brown tone. Perhaps it would have been interesting to move the rightmost thorns lower in the picture, to help keep attention on the egg. As it is, the sharply focused stem and the shadows it casts distract me a bit.

A wonderful mix of elements for a really effective egg portrait..;-).. Beautiful toning really makes a difference, and your composition is just perfect... Lighting is dark and moody, with nice highlighting, which lends a rich atmosphere and accentuates the forms wonderfully... Outstanding work!

The thorns bring to mind a thorny crown - very interesting subject mixture, with the smooth egg and sharp thorns. Excellent photo!
