Thanks Klaas . . . there seem to be a lot of Netherlands (Dutch) photographers on this site . . . most have, like yourself, made examples of which their country can be proud. Quality work and helpful spirits thoroughout. I'll be waiting eagerly for your vacation shots!!

LOL! - go out there and act, be and breathe archetypical!
I expect it'll take two or three more replies, and we need to inform The Oxford Dictionary (or it's US equivalent about a significant update...)
Cheers,
Hugo

Thanks for the UF BG info. I knew what you meant with the term Archetypical . . . just thought I'd play with you a hair. I prefer the term genius when referencing my work! ;) I suppose I'll just have to run out and shoot me something ingenius then!
Best Regards, Doyle I <~~~~~

But ingenious wil do, too...:)
Ingenious: ingenious |ɪnˌdʒiːnɪəs| adjective (of a person) clever, original, and inventive : he was ingenious enough to overcome the limited budget. See note at creative . • (of a machine or idea) cleverly and originally devised and well suited to its purpose. DERIVATIVES ingeniously adverb ingeniousness noun ORIGIN late Middle English : from French ingénieux or Latin ingeniosus, from ingenium ‘mind, intellect’ ; compare with engine .USAGE Ingenious and ingenuous are often confused. Ingenious means 'clever, skillful, resourceful' (: an ingenious device), while ingenuous means 'artless, frank' ( | charmed by the ingenuous honesty of the child).
Cheers,
Hugo.
PS: Gotta love a dictionary being a foreigner. And being a pain in the *** too, it's Ingenious and not ingenius. hehehehehe....:)

Hi Doyle,
Yeah, the background of UF is (RGB: 243 - 243 - 243)
Archetype (archetypical, not archetypal - but hey! I'm a foreigner...:)): archetype |ˌɑːkɪtʌɪp| noun a very typical example of a certain person or thing : the book is a perfect archetype of the genre. See note at model . • an original that has been imitated : the archetype of faith is Abraham. • a recurrent symbol or motif in literature, art, or mythology : mythological archetypes of good and evil. • Psychoanalysis (in Jungian psychology) a primitive mental image inherited from the earliest human ancestors, and supposed to be present in the collective unconscious. DERIVATIVES archetypical |-ˌtɪpɪk(ə)l| adjective ORIGIN mid 16th cent.: via Latin from Greek arkhetupon ‘something molded first as a model,’ from arkhe- ‘primitive’ + tupos ‘a model.’

Spot-on critique Hugo. Archetypal is code for ingenius I trust! ;) Naturally . . . I agree with the tad oversaturated comment . . . It looked stronger after uploading and I thought it would be lessened after uploading so attempted to compensate for that. I note the UF BG is not white but an off white . . . you happen to know the numbers for it? As always . . . I truly appreciate your help and comments.

Hi Doyle,
Archetypal photo, very well composed shot, too. I do think the saturation is boosted just a bit too much, but it does create a crispness, and emphasises the sharp focus. Good photo, and a very interesting scene
Cheers,
hugo

Fabulous rich colours to this wonderful old Wild West scenario my dear Doyle. It matters not where we find the material...only that we record it. I hope Klass gets to see this for I am sure he will enjoy seeing the difference in windmills elsewhere in the world. Excellent clarity in the details in this thoughtfully angled shot. Well done to you my dear friend. My very best wishes to you as always.....Ray

Thanks Nessa! Sorry, but my family hasn't been British since 1776 or '87 or whenever . . . though we still own land--In Virginia-- granted to us by the King (George III) I think??? . . . but I have NO IDEA what a wellie boot throw is nor how it raises money. Perhaps you could send a short e-mail to the address in my bio since I'm dying to know and sincerely hope Hollie did well. You certainly communicated stress through your work!!! If not . . . I'll expect an answer in the portfolio . . . you do brilliant work!

Thanks Laura! It is a tad warm, but not drought weather. Theses characters move trees about like some people move their lawnchairs. Marlyce has a street shot from the 'Bruce Almighty' street scene which has no trees . . . or signs . . . they add what they want when they need it . . . right down to lights, house numbers, etc. Fascinating.
