Thanks Stephane! As it happens, a movie was filmed on that freeway you're looking at. "Speed" with Sandra Bullock in a bus that can't slow down made the famous jump here . . . . before the road was connected. It leads right into LAX. Thanks for stopping by!

Nice shot ! Ther's a strange atmosphere which could take place in some movies such as "Fahrenheit 451".

I like this for many reasons, the colors are nice and the detail crisp, but I especially enjoy the use of shape and curve here which can be seen throughout the shot. Great eye here.

Then I'm looking forward to facing the next winter, Doyle!
But just let us take our time, since this winter was really hard (brrrrrr!) and it is just but a few days where the almost unknown phenomenon, called "the sun", warms us up here in old switzeria! ;-)
Bets wishes, Nick

Interesting thought Nick . . . thanks. The building side you're looking at is facing South . . . so it would have to be in winter to get the best impact (here). Thanks for the idea . . . I'll have to consider whether or not I want to drive to the LAX airport area during the evening . . . (hmmmm . . .) Well . . . maybe next winter! ;D

A very futuristic picture and almost grotesque in the sense of revealing the pure funtionality needs of moden world, where beauty doesn't seem to count much.
Doyle, do you think that it could get better shooting it at the time when the sun goes down? I can imagine a great impact of the contast of the hard cold concrete surfaces to some warm reddish light.
Keep it up and best regards! Nick

Hi, Doyle. An interesting image with a great blue sky. I like the contrast between the bulky and ugly building to the left and the elegant lines of the highways.

Thanks so much Mary . . . Interesting lines but the colors seem to vary from monitor to monitor. My computer was shipped for Hard Drive CPR so I have access only from fewer places now. It shipped backed today and hopefully I'll get it tomorrow--then back to business as usual. Regards, Doyle I <-----

The fourth in the series of all totally different 'lines' compositions. My favourite is still the ceiling/roof shot but this comes in very close behind Doyle. Massive concrete lines and a giant curve nicely taken against that lovely rich blue sky. Well done to you on this mini series my friend.....My very best wishes as always...Ray
