Great shot. Shrubs and skyline really help expand the dof.

Hi Don, I like the consistency in your desert landscapes, mixing various distances with a very good handlingo of the DoF, and always finding a good balance in contrasts. Good photo, with some very nice textures and tones. The D200 is serving you well...:) Looking at the overview of your portfolio, I notice I have a tendency to pick out the desert landscapes, but that's more a personal preference than a tell tale of the quality of the other photos...:)

Cheers,

Hugo

Thanks Paul, with that suggestion I have created a new border. I don't know if it will be what you suggested. Will post one soon. Thanks for your very nice comments. Don.

A really excellent composition. You managed to show not only the impressive form of the hillside, but also something of the beautiful surroundings. A very fine composition. Good work . . .

I like this shot, Don!
I also have a suggested tweak: make the frame on TOP of the photo, casting its shadow on the photo. That way, your subject and the photo are both 'recessed'.

Nice.

This is an area just south of Monument Valley. You have to have an Indian guide to get into this area. If you go be sure to do it late in the day as the light is most beautiful at that time. Inquire at Totem Pole tours about a late day tour of Mystery Valley. Look them up on the internet. Don.
