About This is the 1958 Buick Special, 37000 actual miles. The top is original color, the white has been repainted but no body damage has been repaired. Some chrome has been replaced and some need replacement. I have rebuilt the carburetor. The tires have been replaced. I need to replace the gas gauge sender in the gas tank. Project for the summer. The radio still works and is the tube type. Power front seat. Heater for back seat under the front seat. Rides like a boat. Want to buy it??
Thanks for looking. don.

That is one awesome looking car Don and looking wonderfully well for her 48 years my friend. She doesn't look as though she needs any attention, she looks fantastic. What a great occupation ahead of you in the further restoration programme.
The compostion is great and the details are superb. Thank-you for sharing Don, all the best....Ray

Love it. The color is great. Nice and crisp, vivid. Tones are perfect. Angle is great. Sounds like your selling it. She's a beauty.

Don - thought old Buicks had holes in the sides to suggest rocket nozzels or such. Was it later than this or were they on Pontiacs? This is really nice car shot. Lots of attention to detail including mowing the lawn!
Good job

It certainly has a great look of a real classic. You say it "Rides like a boat." To which I would add, "Drives like a tank." They really don't make 'em like this anymore. I'll bet there are a lot of people who'd love to get their hands on this baby!

Good luck,
--George

I like the low angle chosen and the detail and light work well to show this car off :)

I even used a levels white balance but the time of day and surrounding colors give this a off color effect. It gets so bright in the full sun. Keep warm Petal. It is to be 80 degrees here in a few days. Will think of you. Don.

Thanks for sharing this beauty. Though I am not a "restorer" I am always interested in such things.
I think You have done a great job in capturing the beauty and form and 37000 Miles. I had an elderly friend whom passed away last June -she had a 66 Chevy Malibu, with about 33000 miles.

Boy that's really a fantastic but big car... I'm afraid I'll have to pass on the buying part... can't find a parking space big enough over here... LOL!!! The car nearly looks as good as its owner... ;-D Nice summer project... it'll keep you busy/out of trouble... you choose... (sorry I'm in 'tease mode' right now... LOL)!!! BTW I think this shot would look even better in B&W... you'd lose the 'greenish haze' that's hanging over it...
