AFAIK 4x5 digital camera would be darn expensive gear, wouldn't it? :) As for the picture, I think you could have avoided overexposing the clouds. The shadows to the left seem to be sharp and contrasty enough to the rest of the scenery to shake the tranquility of this place.

Very evocative image. Infra red film?? Or "digital" infra red?

Yes. Most of these images are from Bodie. I go there 5 or 6 times a year. Sometimes more. I've been going there since the mid 60's. A lot of the charm is gone now. I like old buildings and old southwest subject matter.
