About Just some humor. From the ongoing series of old places. The prints of these images are full of detail. There are no hot spaots or blank dark areas. The prints are excellent. My scanning, PS and posting skills are what is sorely lacking.

I've seen this print and it's wondeful. Just goes to show how lousy the web is for displaying photogrpahs.

I like the way the light plays on this one, bringing out all the angles. Would love to see the print where the bright spots aren't so blown out.

Of this series... this is my favorite with "A Warm Place" as a close second... the nostagic feel created by the composition, tones and textures in the images gives depth and meaning to each. Wonerfully seen and wonderfully developed.

Whoo hoo James.
I can almost feel the paint peeling.

Thanks Anne. Here's part of the story. It took me about 45 mins to set this up and carry all the DoF that is here. Used the max swings and tilts on the view camera I used. Just as I was ready to shoot, my buddy steps right in the middle of the snow drift. He and I were the only people in Bodie that day. We're lucky to have been able to get out of there the snow was coming down so hard. I almost shot him for stepping on my fresh snow.

James....Well, I didn't laugh at this photo, but I did add it as a favorite...melikes very much...I like the bit of softness to it and the variations of light which are subtle and visually pleasing...I like the composition, too....
