amazing story. It reminds me of the bristlecone pine tree that is some 1000 years old and growing in the harshist conditions where no other trees will grow.
I love this composition and color.

Joggie, I hope someday I can find terrain with such photographic opportunity. The winter rain season has now come on the Pacific Coast and the wet-green is overwhelming - such a contrast to this arid place!
