This is commonly know as Portland Headlight and is one of the most photographed lighthouses in the world. It is actually in Cape Elizabeth Maine. I was up at 4:30 AM to get there well before sunrise. This is about a 4 minute exposure 20 minutes before sunrise.

Hey Ray thanks for the feedback... I always use a bubble level and I really think this is distortion of a consumer grade 20mm lens... Look at the lighthouse in your take it's leaning awkwardly...

Excellent image, great color, mood and composition. Seems to have a slight tilt to it though. Need to have level horzion (see below).

Incredible shot John. The lighting is amazing as is the composition. The long exposure is also excellent. I think this is the first shot I have seen using the new Velvia. Pretty impressive.

Not a photo I would be able to attempt where I live. Love the colours, and the longer shutter speed for the effect of the water. Seems overall well exposed, very good composition. DoF is excellent.
