I think you have the right attitude, when it comes to your photography. I think a healthy amount of variety is the way to go. Don't let people pin you down to a stereotype. Keep everyone guessing, what will he come up with next?

I knew that the angle issue would distract some people. to be honest, I didn't care about it much when I took the photo ;-)
It seems that the Holga let's me see things different. One can feel the beauty of totally uninteresting subjects. that's something really amazing. it's like a child's view on the unknown wonders of the world which we adult cannot see anymore. so my Holga period is kind of a "getting back to where we started as a child"-thing. naive but deeply true.
more naive things to come ;-)

you named it! comfort zone is something for lamers ;-)
this holga plastic thing let's me take some pictures I would never think about. totally natural and typical every day scenes now become something special, scary, uncomfortable. that's my holga mission.

Hi Thilo, as always, a 45 degree angle is something I feel a bit weary about, but I love the way the viewer is sucked into this image. Warped in might be better. This oughta be good; the evolution of a new emerging style is always something I can appreciate. What I think is one of the really cool thhings about a Holga (from what I've seen) is the unexpected lack of focus in places where it should be sharp. It adds to the dream world images Looking forward to more!

I like this 'wierd' view. It works very well with the 6x6 format, and the angle is good too. I like the plastic sheeting that distorts the image in the to right too. Makes an 'everyday' scene into a surreal abstract! The dark looking object at the end is kind of ominous too!

Hi Thilo,
Before I read Fadel and Kevin's comments, I had exactly the same opinion on the angle. At the same time. I'm sure your goal was to create something that got this kind of reaction. An image to create a certain amount of discomfort. I think you have shaken us out of our comfort zone. So, If that was what you wanted to do, it is a success. Still It would be good turned 45 degrees too. :)

Hi Thilo,der Laubengang ist in meinen Augen ein super motiv für Holga,aber meiner Meinung nach wirkt das ganze etwas steril (ev.zu durchdacht)und der Aufnahmewinkel ist etwas sehr geometrisch...das dunkle Dreieck unten links ist etwas störend (imho).Gar nicht einfach...diese wie zufällig entstanden aussehenden Bilder :)uff,was für ein Satz..
