About This was taken in June on the same day I took the "Topsail Sunrise" image. This one was about 6:50am, and the sun was burning bright and hot already. I took the photo from a wooden boat dock about 20 meters from land, looking back to shore. You can see a boat reflection near the top. The slide from this image is electric, while this image is scanned from a nice 8x8 print.

Thanks Robert...you made my day! Alot of times when I comment on peoples work I just hope that the maker of the image takes it in the spirit that it is given. I'm not always right in my assessment because alot of times its a personal thing rather than a technical correction.

Anyway...thanks so much for showing your appreciation...I know that all the people that comment in here appreciate members like you *smile*....Maggie

Thanks Maggie! I really appreciate the time you take to provide constructive feedback and examples. People like yourself are a main reason why usefilm is such a great site.

I see what you mean about the upper contrast, which is a bit high. This photo was taken with the early morning sun burning down on this pier. Maybe I will try to rework a bit with PS. Thanks.

Robert I love the colors and drama of this image and I love the tires...but, I find the upper portion of the image says nothing and is too bright against the deep blue and golden colors of the timbers.

I did a crop on this one and its only my vision and I just wanted to share it with you. You did an excellent job choosing and exposing your subject ... I like the image very much....*smile*...Maggie

Very nice robert. The colors, crop, exposure is dead on. Fits the project goals perfectly.

Great color. Might be better without the tires--more abstract, less clear what the setting is. That's just personal preference, it's a great shot, one of the few I see here with a square frame.
