About Prospect Mountain, Lake George, NY.
This was the control wheel for a cable car system which ran from the base of Prospect Mountain, in Lake George Village, to the summit.
The cable cr system operated in the latter part of the 19th century, from the 1880\\\'s until it ceased operation in the early 1900\\\'s.

The wheel seen in the photo is all that remains.
