yes, the frontpage display is random. This image pops up there maybe once a year :)
More clearance might have been nice, but if I remember the setup (was 7 years ago) I had to position the camera on a grassy strip between 2 roadways so had very limited room to control my composition.

Nice landscape. Would have IMO been better had you stepped back a bit and gotten the entire tree(s) in the picture rather than have them cut off at the top.

Nice pose.
Have her wear a bit less (or less dark) eye makeup next time, and check your DOF. The left arm and foot seem a bit soft, either she moved or your DOF is just a tad too shallow.

The reflection on the wingtip suggests it's got winglets.
No Soviet transport planes do, only the C-17 matches that configuration, which would make it a US or UK aircraft.

When uploading, make sure it's sharpened properly and turn OFF the sharpening option in the upload screen.
It's not as good by far as anything your editors can do, and can actually degrade images if they're as sharp as they're supposed to be.

Excellent shot. Would make a very nice album cover.
A tad more contrast between her hair and the background would help to lift the model out of the frame more, which may or may not improve the overall image.
But what film did you use, Delta 400 or HP5? ;)

Colouration and composition are nice, but it's indeed not sharp enough to work.
In the clouds and water that's perfectly acceptable as those move during the exposure, in fact the movement there helps to create a dreamlike atmosphere.
For the fixed objects, especially in the foreground, it's not good.

as long as you're not causing problems for traffic (parking in a no-stop zone for example) and don't put ladders up against fences you're fine in most of the civilised world.
If you're harassed by rentacops (or real ones) take their name and number, demand to be put through to their supervisors, and file an official complaint as you're doing nothing wrong.
Of course if you're on private property you may be tresspassing, and if you're photographing military objects that might be illegal (know the law!) but in general if you're on public land there's nothing anyone can do to stop you.

I'd say the tangled hair makes the shot. Without it it would be just another portrait with the head cut off (I know many people like that, I don't), with it it just works.

It can work together Stan.
The current situation is nothing more than paranoia taken to the extreme by a group of controlfreaks who themselves are envious of the people they control (many of them don't earn enough to fly on vacation or anywhere) and now have found a way to take out that envy on the passengers.
The "no liquids" thing especially is utter insanity. There is no scientific basis in it whatsoever. While it is indeed possible to make liquid explosives with seemingly harmless components, the processes involved are tricky and dangerous and rather impossible to perform on an airliner in flight without people taking notice.
And taking active liquid explosives is also not an option as these liquids are highly unstable and would either explode prematurely or decay into harmless substances before they could be used.

You should have cropped it a bit tighter on the right and bottom, getting rid of that clump of vegetation.

Excellent work, especially given the usual very poor lighting conditions and extremely limited options for composition you get in aviation museums (will those guys ever learn that you want to see the aircraft and have some room around them rather than pack them all tightly together in a darkened hangar with some 100W bulbs hanging 100ft overhead?).

Did some research.
The aircraft belongs to the 82nd Aerial Targets Squadron (don't ask me where the R comes from, probably the old function of these units which during the Vietnam era doubled as operators of recce drones which at the time were converted target drones).
It's a QF-4 target drone, a converted F-4E which retains its cockpit so pilots can fly it until its final mission which is to be shot out of the sky in a missile test.
It's indeed based at Tyndall AFB, where the 82nd ARTS is part of the 53s Weapons Evaluation Group of the 325th Fighter Wing.
The aircraft is on assignment to the USAF historical flight.
