Nice calm image, Paul. If you are on Flickr, photuomey (me) got a few nice shots between Cork and Passage, in a currach on a flat calm evening.

A really good sunrise scene, Chris. Great subtle tonal variations in the deciduous trees and hedges silhouetted against the mist. You have to lose the unsubtle frame, though, it's killing the shot.

Excellent, a very handsome portrait with lovely lighting. Could be a film star.

Very good photo, definitely worth posing kids in good light. Nice. Floor texture a bit odd.

Good composition here, putting the pier under the clouds and leaving space to the left. I like it.

Nice composition, beautiful child. A little overexposed. I would increase contrast, and reduce brightness a little.

Great portrait, Himadri. A very carefullly composed shot, I would guess, and all the better for it. I am confused by the defocused moustache hair nearest the camera, is the depth of field on this lens really this shallow?

This seems to be a good conversion from your earlier colour post of the same shot. Did you shoot the same scene twice, once on black and white film and once on colour, or are you just messing with our heads by changing the film details when you repost a converted shot?

Martin.

A very good photo, Susie, well balanced colour and contrast. I am guessing you smoothed the shot a bit, his skin looks so soft. Very nice indeed.

Hi Pete,
The execution here I can't really comment on other than that it looks well lit, and with good focus on the subject's face. The pink top is just the wrong colour, it flattens the image by being too close in skin tone to the model.
But don't tell her.

This is another good one, Pat. I am guessing here that the highlights were a bit washed out by the camera's metering, and you had to increase contrast in PS to retain structure in her face. This is why her eyes are so dark. It has a lot of impact, though, and is obviously a charming composition.

Hello Pat,
I can tell from the "About" you are pleased with what you can get from very low light situations, as you should be with this result. A bit of noise, or grain, but the eyes are clear and bright and it is a very nice portrait.
Monitors differ, and the skin tones are a bit washed out at normal mode on my screen, but the eyes are too dark if you adjust for this.
Some dodging and burning?

Hi Petero,
Good to see another post from you, I was interested by the Crosshaven one. I like this, the colour rendition is very true to Kerry weather.
New camera also?

Hello Eleisa,

This is very nice. The face is well exposed, I guess you darkened the sky post-photo. (All he is missing are the wings, or the horns, depending on the mood at that age.)
