Hi Joe,

Thanks for the comment :) ... its my sister and her newly born.

I agree, I think my shot is very slightly too warm.

Hi Clive,

Thanks for your comment :)

I agree, the image is a little warm but I think you may have overdone the cooling down. Somewhere in between would probably be ideal.

I actually only uses ToneUp S3 (www.ToneUpStudio.com) for image processing (I am the author so I guess thats obvious ;)).

Hi SAM,

Thanks for the comments The shot was taken on a very overcast day (the cloud/mist was right down just about the house) and the colours were very very washed out, which is why I decided to go with B&W.

Thanks for looking,

Todd

Thanks Alastair, the bars are actually one of the elements that keep attacting me to the shot... but I know what you mean, they are a little distracting at the moment.

btw: new version of ToneUp will be with you soon - with NEF conversion

Doug, thats a brilliant poster shot! really nice my only suggestion would be to crop the left side so the vertical wood is missing (same as left) or to make it perfectly upright. Nice job though

Nice shot Larry, I especially like the clouds across the moon, they give it a nice texture.

Really nice image Ferdinand, fantastic colours and pleasing composition. I'd like to see the depth of field concentrated on the fruit a little more to keep the foreground apples in focus but I don't think it distracts from the overall image.. .really nice shot

Beautiful image, superb colours... are you using a custom curve or post processing it a bit ? I love the colours and the way they echo the flag shape. Nice one

Hey Brandy

I find this quite an appealing shot. The slightly out of focus boy leads the eye to the pebble(?) on the floor, and I think actually makes the shot. Had the boy been in focus I think it would have just been a standard shot. Nice alternative composition

Great shot Brandy, I had to look twice at it as its nearly identical to a shot a friend took last fireworks at Clapham common. (Yours is slightly better )

Nice one.

Nice image with a good use of depth of field. I like the coloursas well, they make the scene feel warm and summery. The image could do with rotating very slightly anti-clockwise to make it a little more level but other than that I like it !

Hi Kristin,

Im certainly no expert! but I have used Photoshop a lot and work with people who use it professionally, so you pick up the odd tip here and there

If you have Photoshop CS you can also use the shadow/highlight (image/adjustments menu) to balance the dark and light areas.

Kindest Regards

Todd.
