This is very nice. I've tried to do it before and failed.. I love the way you got the road lines in it, slightly curving.
And thanks for the useful comment on my shadows shot! I am putting together a portfolio for applying for internships and that was exactly what I was looking for.

Pretty model, love the eyes, I would like to see them in color. Great lighting on her face, too.

Larry,
I like the effect. Its been a long time since I've been to DeSoto. I think I used to picnic with my friend's family right by those trees.

Love the composition. There is so much going on yet it seems to work so well. Great bw contrast too.

Great mood, you can really feel that there's a story behind the picture. I like it. Great use of light too.

Wow, amazing textures, great colors and use of shadows. Almost optical illusion-like when you stare at it for a while.

Danielle,
I love the feel of this photo, with the overall blue/purplish cast. Nice detail in the ice, too.
And it is about 9 degrees where I am right now too... I kind of feel like that cat

Hey thanks for the comment! I didnt even notice those branches, but now that you pointed them out I agree with you. I was more thinking about how I was going to get away from the guy rather than the composition, he was kind of creepy actually. I was amazed it wasnt blurred with the slow shutter speed I used, I got pretty lucky to have it turn out. Any ideas on how I could get his face to stand out better? I was thinking about some sort of slow sync flash but I didnt want to fumble through my cameras menus on such short notice.
Thanks again!

Wow I love the reflection. Also the rocks in front give it a wide angle feeling and a sense of depth.
