Thanks for the lovely comment Paul... yes I did convert to B&W. I shot the photo in RAW and then used LightRoom (fantastic product) to do the conversion.

I like it. A nice compliment to Philippe Halsman's Jump Portraits. I love the free emotions that people show when they let everything go and just jump...

Keep Up the great Work

Great Motion in this photo, which shows the frantic nature with which these gulls flew. The bird in the top right corner has had its wing clipped and this for me destroys the balance of the photo. Gaviotas 1 has a similar issue, but there the large empty space on the left offers a juxtaposition between calm and busy...
The colours are great and the grey clouds add a stronger mood.
Well done

A great photo from my home town, Melbourne. Great to see a new prespective... You have given a lot of interest to a cathedral which could have otherwise offered a dull and lifeless photo.

Nice bold shot... The reminds me of my blue-sky skyscaper photo, although you image has a little more interest in the walls... great work, lovely portfolio.

Thanks for you time to comment Trent. I admit this sort of full-frame image with clear lines also appeals to me. I like your portfolio a lot and can see similarities there.
I was really experimenting with the frames, to get a black background. Will take your comment on board for the future.
all the best.

Hey how about this crop? Am I getting closer to your vision. I do like this new ratio... I must admit sometimes I am so restricted by the typical 6:4 - Perhaps I could take a little more off the bottom to make it real panoramic

Thanks for your time.

Thanks for the comment James. I gave that a go... here is what I came up with. Was a bit harder to balance the photo, now that I have cropped Pezi's head, but the dark/light contrast is still very strong with more focus on Pezi, rather than the whole scene.
Cheers
