Velvia does have great color! I would have used a little smaller aperature for more DOF. Sorry I didn't reply soon. To answer your question, Velvia is what gave (Yucca Flower) it the great color, (besides the great light I had). To bring the plant in the foreground to an exposure closer to that of the background, I used a 2-stop grad neutral density filter. I wish that I had a 3-stop, though.

Nice composition and light. I would have used a smaller apperature to achieve more DOF. Still a nice shot though.

Nice waterfall! By the way, you can use spot or center-weighted metering through the spotting scope; (which wasn't a problem since I use spot metering for every shot I take).

Great capture! Very nice shot. Sorry it's taken me so long to reply to your questions about Yellowstone. I just got back from there yesterday. To find grizzlys in YS, Lamar Valley in the north-eastern part of the park is your best bet. We see at least 10-20 bears every year, and most of them are in that valley. To see Black bears, I would head from the Mammoth area towards Tower and Mt. Washburn. There is a bear named "Rosie" who hangs out along that road every year. Another good bet, is from Mammoth towards the Obsidian Cliffs before Norris. There are both grizzlys and black bears that are found around there. Hope you can make it there again sometime, and maybe you'll have better luck!

Excellent foreground, though it seems a little soft on focus. Beautiful composition and color as well.

Nice landscape, but the horizon line seems a bit tilted to the left. Also seems to be a little overexposed, and DOF looks pretty shallow. This has potential, though.

I like the clouds shadows, but the light seems a bit harsh. This definately has potential.

It's nice colors and composition, but I prefer a bit more DOF. Just my opinion.

Great composition, but I think this shot would benefit greatly from a grad ND filter Maybe a two or three stop, soft step. I think this would bring the image closer to what the human eye sees, b/c we have about an 11 stop range that we can see in.

Excellent composition! I'm not too fond of the stripe of light on her chest. It does add an interesting element, though.

Well done, and very unique to this website. This has lots of emotional appeal for me, because my middle name is Orion. Very nice work.

This is a great macro shot! I'd like to see a little more DOF, but it's still nice as is.

Very nice (lucky) capture. I like the space to their left, but I wish they were just a little bit more into the frame. Obviously hard to control under the random circumstances. Still a nice shot, though.

Colors are beautiful! The only problem I have with this shot is the horizon line so close to the center of the frame.
