Chor, you've done well in capturing the serenity of this monument. During the day it can be vibrant and alive, but at dusk it can be just as you've shown, quiet and tranquil. Good shot.

Came across this image while glancing through your portfolio. It really grabbed my attention. It is a beautiful image.

I have to be honest, Ian, I don't remember the specific aperture that I used. I remember not being sure so I set it somewhere are the middle at f11 or f16. These were the first shots I ever tried to get and got very lucky. This next spring I'll be perfecting the technique a little bit.

Anne, I was just walking through some of the comments that I've made in the past and saw the cropped version of "Winter Walk." I think I like this much better. It creates this desire in me to see more rather than look and move on.

Great candid shot. I'm shooting the wedding party shots for a friend in June so I'm always looking for ideas such as this.

Antonio, I loved the concept of this self-portrait. The composition works very well for me and I found myself trying to piece together everything. Creative and nicely done.

Jonas, nice capture of pattern and color. I couldn't help but to spend time starring at the image.

Nice, erie picture, Joe. I like the way the tree in the top right corner reaches down and pulls me in. As with Phillip, I agree that just a tad off the bottom would help, but other than that, good shot.

Great light in this picture! I like the composition, although, I agree with Kim, the bit of green at the bottom of the image is just a touch distracting. Otherwise, great shot.

Great shot, Anne. You've really given the viewer a sense of time with this picture. I would have to agree with the first two comments. When I covered up the back row of trees with my hand I saw a big change in the dynamics of the picture. I think if you took out all the trees but the "triangle" of trees on the right this would dramatically improve an already excellent shot.

Thanks Kim. I really like my Nikon FG. It's an older camera, but it has always been very steady and dependable for me.

Michelle, I think this is a wonderful picture. To be able to catch something that speaks of simplicity and yet holds the eye for as long as it does mine demonstrates talent on your part. It's difficult to catch the softness of the snow as you have and yet keep it from becoming over/under exposed. And the blades of grass create that natural geometric pattern that's very catching. Nicely done.

Nice shot. I like the way the green offsets the "dead" color and adds that life to the picture. The white of the sticks stands out very nicely against the green.

The softness of the picture was not completely intentional. Much of that comes from a low quality scanner.

Interesting photo. Take a picture like this of and old house and one would think that a ghost could appear at any moment.

Great non-obtursive catch. I like the way the light catches just the man, but I would like to see a little more of his face illuminated.

Thanks, Lassitude. I agree there is something missing. I'm wondering if just of hint of light from a top-side angle might have added something.

I loved the composition and contrast in this photo. How many people would have passed by this wagon and gone on to something else for a photo? Good eye!

Great photo! I can just feel the storm building around. Nice color and composition. You had a good eye to see this picture. I think most people would have passed it on by.
