Very fine b&w. I can even see the sparkle of the snow.

Hi Alisa. It's nice being missed. A new job and a stolen camera are the reasons for my absense. I'm seriously thinking about buying a new camera (digital?) and will be back again posting soon. Thanks for asking. The new site improvements are great! Anne : )

Anne, I was just walking through some of the comments that I've made in the past and saw the cropped version of "Winter Walk." I think I like this much better. It creates this desire in me to see more rather than look and move on.

Thanks all for the kind remarks. I had already cropped alot off the top of the frame but perhaps it could do with a little more. I was loaded down with film when I went on my walk and saw lots of possibilities, but then my battery ran out! (don't you hate when that happens!) Here is a version of it cropped as suggested. Thanks again for comments. Appreciated! Anne :)

Great shot, Anne. You've really given the viewer a sense of time with this picture. I would have to agree with the first two comments. When I covered up the back row of trees with my hand I saw a big change in the dynamics of the picture. I think if you took out all the trees but the "triangle" of trees on the right this would dramatically improve an already excellent shot.

Anne, Nice, clean, beautiful shot. I really like it. And, I too would hang it on my wall. :-)

i like it a lot. so many people would walk right past that. good concept. emphasizing the shadows. the only thing that i may suggest, maybe tilt down abit more to lose som of they tree trunks. i think that would make it a bit cleaner. however, i would be proud to hang it on the wall.
