About: An electrical engineer by training I am returning to photography in a serious manner for the first time since my high school photo class, which it turned out was one of my favorites that last year. I have one camera, an old Pentax MG with 28mm , 50mm, and 100-200mm lenses; and UV and skylight filters for the 28mm and zoom lenses - all from eBay. In my photography I seem to be drawn to how light falls on objects; textures; odd angles; architecture, unusual prespective on typical things; and verticality (buildings, etc.) I am also looking to collect and use antique cameras and "toy" cameras that produce unique images.
I also dabble in painting and sketching or my new infatuations: japanese/chinese calligraphy with large brushes and chinese "ink blowing" on paper to make abstract, organic images. Probably my most fun hobby is finding things that people throw away on the streets of the city. I am a horrible pack-rat and will grab something if it has even meager value. I try to implement these found goods into my creations (art, furniture, lamps) as often as possible.
Thank you for your interest in my photos!
