Please check your dedication on my latest picture :) I didn't post the mannequins yet, I'm still thinking what to do with them.

Yes, Dear Ina, of course we do talk about the same fruit; only I misunderstood what you meant by "sliced". The absence of perspective in the miniature painting and (a fortiori) carpet patterns deforms objects and flattens volumes, therefor spheres become circles and so on... Especially in carpet patterns where the shapes are almost signs and symbols, they become abstractions of real objects and change aspect in order to fit in the global harmony/symmetry of the work.
Have a nice time.

Sorry Aram, I missed your second picture, as the email doesn't show it. Here is a typical pomegranate carpet design - specific to Turkestan/ Afghanistan rugs:

Well! The original color was not too bad, though quite ordinary. That's why I tried this strange color (for a pomgrenate, of course).
However it shouldn't be the same fruit that you referred to, as it can hardly be "sliced" (the interior is filled with little juicy red grains... I'll take a shot of an "open" one too).
Anyhow, thanks for all your kind comments and especially comment replies: it should take a great amount of your time (I infinitely hesitate to suggest you to feel yourself free to just read the load of comments you receive so that you have more time to take and upload your works; at the same time I admire your perseverance...)
All the best.

Great fruit image, Aram, almost an abstract!I love the powdery surface and the green color, as well as the lighting and crop. It is a beautiful fresh looking image, with a novelty element for me, as I wouldn't see too many in my daily life here - being considered an exotic fruit (too cold to be grown locally). I didn't realize you played withPS saturation, it looks so natural! I associate the fruit with motifs from oriental rugs, where it's shown sliced, so it's a classical theme in my books!
