Thanks so much for your time and interest, Graham! I actually tried that very same thing on this shot when I was working on it, but I thought I liked it better with the more "foggy" feel. Now I'm not so sure. I do like what you did with it. I also like the straightened trees. I tried to do that, but didn't have much success. If you wouldn't mind telling me about the exposure and how you straigtened this image I would really appreciate it.
I'll go by and check out your portfolio soon. I'm on the fly today.

This is a great shot, Kathy, albeit eerie! I attached a sample that brings out the midtones and straightens the shot up a little. Great moody fog image,Kathy...this morning my backyard looked like this except with tall evergreens in the fog....nice toning and i like the diffused sun spot up top....may post soon if get some shots today.....regards,gayle

Oooh...lovely foggy morning shot. We got this kind of fog most mornings but it's too darned cold for me to get out there and take any more shots like this. I did Berry Foggy Morning photo already this year. No more for me. (haha) I Like this. Nice to have so many trees at your back door....but creepy to think what might come out of there in a fog. ;) Great shot Kathy.

i really like quiet, peaceful mornings that start like this as well as your image of this particular morning...you captured the mood well! i especially like the hint of lavender in the sky that brightens to the strong light in upper left.
p.s. the trees leaning in on the left were a tad distracting to MY eyes so i adjusted the perspective and attached...just a thought.

WOW, how beautiful and poetic image, Kathy! I find that many times we find the best images in our own "backyard" so to speak. I love the fog and the trees - so perfectly alligned, as if drawn by hand. Superb mood and perfect crop. Love your frame, too. A modern painting! Wonderful work, Kathy!
