About This is a shot I took when I was in Wisconsin in October. I don't know what this building was, but I thought it had an interesting look, especially the roof.

Very muted, moody feel to this one. It works well to see he hut tucked in behind the grasses and bushes.

What a find. I love these old places tucked into high grasses. It really makes you think about the many years of life this place has seen. I love the soft focus and earthy colors

I think that this might be one of my favorites in your barn series. I really like the tree with the fall colors next to the building with the touch of blue sky. Very nice!

Hi Kathy! The roof has indeed a nice texture, and the light is good to display it. It does look abandoned with that high grass around it. The tree on the right provides a nice splash of colour; nice, nostalgic stuff!

What an interesting old building. I bet a hermit lives in there. Did you even venture to look at it closer? Great muted colors textures. A fun picture to look at and imagine what it once was.

Always fun to stumble across abandoned buildings. (and snoop if no signs). Kind of like reading a mystery book. Nice capture.

It is a very unusual roof Kathy, goodness only knows what it is made from. Beautiful rustic colours throughout this wonderful composition sweetie. It looks such a peaceful place, I wonder if anyone utilises the building for anything these days. Best wishes to you as always.....Ray

A very scenic shot, dear Kathy! The smoky grasses in the foreground seem to be competing with the patterns on the sky, which is the most attractive (?)And the abandoned building seems to be growing from the earth together with the grasses.I imagine there has been life inside there at one time.....How strange, isn't it?! Lives melt away, while houses stand and endure. The shot IS beautiful, but it makes me sad.

Great catch Kathy. Another rainfall and the grass might have grown right over this one and obscured it from your view. I think I'll call it a barn anyway even if it's not. :) Looks like it might have been a hunter's cabin perhaps?. It has a Grizzly Adams feel about it from days gone by. I don't think I've seen a roof quite like that one before. It almost looks like rusted squares of some sort of metal to me. Most unsual. Very well seen and captured with lovely colours too. Great shot.

Cheers - Ann :)

Hi Kathy,
I don't know what it is either. But, they better get the lawn mower warmed up pretty quick! And, that roof reminds me I've got to get some quotes on new shingles for ours this year :)

Well this is cool. Your colors are saturated really well and I like the detail you got. That is some kind of funky roof. It looks like tuck and roll vinyl or something. Good find Sissy...it looks strange to see leaves on the trees!
CYA tomorrow!

So beautiful how the house is overgrown by grass, Kathy! I find the roof very appealing, like crumpled paper, and the entire composition very serene, despite the fact that it's an abandoned home. I love the grass in the foreground and the fall colors! Very peaceful composition! Best regards, Ina
