Pat, I use the 1D Mark II a lot on my wildlife images, it is much faster (and a little lighter but not much!) Take care! Darlene

Can't be too positive about the ID here Darlene, have checked my book on Brit & European birds and the nearest looks to be a Marsh Warbler. Nevertheless you have a beautiful image. The colouring matches the bird and the DOF is perfect. Thanks for sharing.

Oh how sweet. Thank you for such a lovely dedication. They do move fast so you were very clever to capture such a fast moving subject. We've had a similar looking bird with a red spot on its head hover around our motorhome the last few days. It likes to see its reflection but luckily it isn't crashing into the windows as birds sometimes do. Wish I was fast enough to photograph it. This is a lovely image of this bird. I lvoe the tones and the soft background. Beautiful DOF. Great job. Cheers - Ann :)

I don't know what he is either, Darlene, couldn't find it in a quick scan of my bird books, but you got a very nice shot of him! Very good colours.
Dave.

I guess the secret to this kind of shot is to be ready all the time! These little guys are so fast...I don't know how you do it, Darlene! Well done!

Bless you for the sweet thought Darlene.

This is a lovely shot, perfect focus, wonderful texture in the bird's plumage and the soft colour of the scene is gorgeous. They don't alight for long, I find, so this is a great capture. My very best wishes to all of you....Ray

Thank you! You are such a sweetheart! He is so cute! Which camera do you like better, or maybe I should say which camera do you think would be better for the type of wildlife I take, the EOS 1D or 1Ds? I have heard rave reviews on the 20 but never the 1D or 1Ds. Thanks! Pat

Very nice Darlene,
Thanks for the little dedication.
We have some little warblers up here that look similar to that one, but not quite.
