My vote goes for the second version, too - that strong tree on the left does a lot to 'anchor' the scene, I think, as opposed to drifting off into space...

Carlos - the amount of blue here surprised me. I think from using daylight film in these conditions.

definitely leaning to the second upload Stefan ? Although the ?bluish? tint works so very well this is a far stronger image? a wistful longing vibe? must be something to see it large.

very atmospheric! i like both versions, but maybe the vertical one is slighly better... it's quite mysterious, in fact!
these days there's a lot of mist here in verona, not too much but enough to provide fascinating effects... i hope i'll be able do do a lot of photos, this weekend...

Excellent minimal moody!! love composition and i think "vertical" format works better, at least for me !D i also prefer the colour one, good choice!

Thanks Carlos - I'm thinking the fog maybe was a little too dense that morning :-) There is not much difference between 6x7 and 7x6 but here is a "landscape" version...

perfect tone ? and I really like the empty space, the hazy mist mysterious and evocative ? makes for a perfect ?moody landscape?! But there are not enough visual clues for this viewer. If not for the title I would not have known this is a racetrack... I wonder if an horizontal presentation would have been better here...

I like it, you benefited very well from the fog for the composition.
