About One of our Japanese national holidays is "Respect for the Aged Day," and on the nearest Sunday our church holds a party with small presents for those over 75. Our church has recently been redecorated, and the white ceilings and walls are giving nice colours with my favourite Fuji Superia 400 emulsion. i was puzzled whether to risk shallower DOF at a large aperture or risk hand shake at a smaller aperture and slower shutter speed. Worked out pretty well.

Such a good idea to pay show our elders that we respect them and appreciate all they have done for us.

Roger,

Glad that the good and the old are respected and treated so. A culture will be valued by how it treats its elders.

Intersting.

regards,
ken.

A well lit interior shot. Chris said it already, you had a copying competitor.

You could have compromised and taken this on a tripod, Roger. Although with setting a tripod up, you might have lost some of the excellent, candid spontaneity.

An interesting wide angle of this gathering. Well exposed and detailed. It's good that the old are respected in some cultures.

Regards
Colin

What a nice idea, Roger, and what a good indoor, non-flash capture. I see you had some 'competition' at the other end of the room!
Best regards, Chris
