Thanks ron, sorry I never saw your question. The trick is to shoot continuously and sooner or later you will hit something :) Actually just putting yourself in the right place at the right time and good panning..

Wonderful shot and great dedication... Love the details of the duck...They are astonishing and you managed to captured a very nice flying position... The look of the water in the background give a great sense of the speed... I wish I could take an image of a flyin bird so sharp... but still practicing... :)

I love ducks as well. Tried a lot to get them on photo, but I was never really successful in flight.

Oh Marcus that's so sweet and thoughtful of you...yes I do love the ducks, and the moment I opened this the first word that came to mind was AWESOME, truly, and then I read your dedication, thank you...I love the pose of this one, and the touch of blue and orange are beautiful, she does appear to be smiling..I think she likes the photographer, and it sounds like she definitely wanted her picture taken, and as always you captured her beautifully, the composition is perfect, I love it, and of course it goes in my favs...a hug...Linda
