I travelled to Cape Race today, December 12, 2001 to photograph the first Marconi wireless station in Newfoundland. Today being the 100th. year anniversary of the first translantic wireless signal received. I am a Amatuer Radio Operator (Ham Radio) and wanted to celebrate by visting this site. This site is also believed to be the only land based site that received the distress signal sent by the the Titanic the night she sank.
Another nice shot for Cal! Great colors. (Ya just gotta love digital, don't ya :-))
I think its cool you operate ham radio cal, get to chat with folks from all over! Congrats to the 100th year celebration, looks like you spent it in a wonderful place.
