You are so kind. Yes, there is so much in the North East that is just so breathtakingly stunning. Everything: people, thugs, non-thugs, roads, fields, coast, lighthouses, Seahouses...
And you pass by the AOTN day...
The only monument in the world of its kind since Clement Attlee that has ever been really worthwhile.

Wow! What a coindicidence. It struck me as being quite a peaceful spot to live, a nice gentle community. Except for the proximity to the A1 though, I suppose.

The weather was really nice at the time I was passing by. It may be more usual for people to want to capture a monument of that sort on its own, but it seemed like a good idea to also try and include a bit more of the surroundings, including a few houses. (And houses belonging to chaps called Colin are renowned for their photogenic qualities!)
Original perspective on this much photgraphed image, Paul. I used to look out from one of those windows (kitchen), on the hill to the left. Great shadow detail, from the big rusty one. Impressive sky too.
