About First of three shots trying to learn how to do effective silhouettes. This one was taken 8/22 and was able to get the palm trees, sun rays and a pretty glow - nothing remarkable except I do like the palm fronds with the sunset peaking through.

I really like your silhouettes, Janice the way they start at the top and cascade down and flow to the far border of your shot. Great sky.

Thanks Lisa - it is so nice of our neighbors to have those lovely Queen Palms. Not to mention the other neighbors that have the huge Ficus. Hope they don't get too much taller, or we won't be able to see the 7/4 fireworks from our back yard. Hope by next year I get good enough with this new camera to get some fireworks shots that look like they are suppose to. Jan

Great Capture Mom, I Think the Silhouettes are amazing. I Love the sunrays peeking through the palms and hitting the top clouds and the far right ones.
I think the crop is good, as it brings the entire shot together.
This is your best sunset yet!
Congrats

Thanks Ellen - yes the lower temps do help. Don't glow quite so much! Jan

Jan this is an excellent silhouette you did a fine job here you should be proud.

You came down from the 100's to the 90's wow sometimes that little bit means all the difference.

I'm off to see your others.
