Interesting study. I find that glare/white streak on the side/bottom middle to be a little distracting. I have a hard time "seeing" where light comes from in photos. Perhaps move the camera a bit to the left and up would ease that highlight? Well, I suppose just move the pepper a bit would be easier.

Lovely shot and presentation. Since this is a controlled situation, an even smaller aperture might have provided a sharply rendered stem.
