Colin, I find I don't have much use for telephoto lenses. I remember having a 28 to 210mm zoom on my OM1 for years and never once using it fully extended! But you're right that it's nice to be able to get "close" to a flower when it's physically remote from you. This was a very cheap Russian lens, but it's proven to have excellent quality.
Nice saturation of colour, and a fine diferential focus, make your floral remarkable, Roger. I've noticed, film often produces better texture and colour in florals, than digital. Good use of the telephoto, to get this near-macro. 7.
Dear Mary, we discovered that we both had hollyhocks in our childhoods last time I posted a photo of them. Please don't feel bad about lack of time to comment... it happens to all of us. I do love and appreciate your comments, of course.
I love hollyhoks as we always had them at home when I was young and they always bring back happy memories. These are lovely. Thanks for the smils. Mary
