About A white-breasted nuthatch in my backyard, characteristically going down the tree head first, looking for insects. He was keeping a close eye on me, you can see some movement blur on his head!

I like the composition so much Dave but so bad I feel it's little bit soft, I know it's so difficult to keep these birds from not moving.
Good catch my friend,
Khaled.

Still an excellent shot. I wonder how far away you were. Your close crop gives a illusion of being very close which I know you were not. Well done. Del.

A superb capture, Dave! Little fast birds are so hard to get. The slight blurring, adds to the image and conveys the super-fast movements of these little critters. 7.

Incidentally, I have just been looking after a baby housemartin the cat brought in. He is so intelligent, and more trusting than any pet, walking up my arm and sleeping on my shoulder! He's now in the care of a wildlife vet.

Thanks for the encouraging comments, Dave, much appreciated.

Colin

EXCELLENT capture Dave. Did you focus on one spot and wait for him to come into frame. I thought the only bird that went down the tree head first was a treecreeper. I've learned something today. Thanks mate.

Excellent bird photo, Dave. The movement blur of the nuthatch's head is almost invisible.
