Hi Nick, thanks for the comment! Yes I believe it is a bit over exposed and lacks some contrast. I'm still getting used to my new camera, but could have done better in the post processing. Your image is right on the money!

A bit overexposed here and there but with a good overall composition and feel for the cold cold tome of the year, Dave. In general I think that I see that tendency for a bot of overexposure in several images of yours, so perhaps some systematic problem of the light metering unit? (Just a thought.) I burned the image a bit and attach it for you - any bettering? The captured details seem to be really available but they were not as strong in the highlights.
Anyway, the timing was something very special here. One has to take advantage whenever some of those living beings turn their heads and look to us.
