About I was sitting in my backyard in my blind trying to get some hummingbird shots and looked to my left in the soybean field and saw these two marvelous creature a 10 point and an 8 point buck all dressed in velvet. Took about 60 shots before they ran off. I'm sure I'll be sharing some more. I thought this was one of the more interesting of the bunch.

Focal Length 400mm

An incredible shot, Jim! It's great the way you captured both, in slightly different poses!

Ohhhhh Judi, burst my bubble:), Actually I new it was there when I posted and actually thought about taking it out with photoshop but decided to leave it in. It is a branch from one of the plants in my wifes garden. As I was not out to shoot the deer and I was in a blind and could not move I had to settle with what I had. The deer had gotten to an angle where it came into the picture frame but was to close to the lens to come into infinity focus. All of my shots that just have single deer in it do not have that problem. I wish my PS skills were good enough to remove the blemish without anyone noticing but alas I probably would of made a bigger mess out of it. Thanks for noticing, you were the only one.

Jim

What a great capture! The colors are great, as are the details. How lucky are you that they were in your backyard! :)

From the thumbnail I thought it was a manipulated shot, but then saw there were two of them, great shot. Alison
