Taken in the backyard, in a pool of water, at midday. Macro lens. The green is a leaf, the red mite was an opportunistic finding. The black is the water and there's a reflection of the leaf edge visible there.
This is brilliant. You have made every element in the image look like something else: the edge of the leaf looks like steel wool, the water looks like a vinyl LP tumbling around and giving off rotund vibrations, the leaf appears as the baize on a snooker table (maybe after an implosion) and the water droplet like, er, a transparent cyst... But a nice playful one, obviously. The red spiderlet is like an arachnid Mick Jagger coming on stage to say a few words. Lovely!
