Interesting that another picture posted close to yours has the same title. Both showing tranquility but in a totally different way. This does look very tranquil. Simple but effective.

I go out with an image in mind and then get other shots whilst I am there. But you need to keep in mind that nothing ever goes to plan. So sometimes I just let the world guide me...in otherwords...look at the scene in a different light and follow where it takes you.
When I get home I will go through them and I usually know which ones will jump off the screen before I view them. I just have that feeling when I take the shot. I also keep many others for future work...such as photo art.

Very nice capture Judy and wonderful editing for the reflection, I like the way you softened the reflection .. it is just excellent, very nice colors and tones as well,
Btw I have a question,
When you go out shooting, before taking a picture, do you have the composition in your mind, or you just shoot allot and when you get back home you try to get the best out of pictures, or is it a bit of both :)

Wonderful pastel colours. The tranquility certainly comes through, in the colours, the reflections etc.
It is, however, broken by the diagonals, which give this an unsettled look. It's what attracts the eye most in this picture.
