About I know--another ray picture. However, when I saw this, I just had to take the picture. I tried it in B&W, but chose to leave it in colour as I liked the blue in the sky.
The only adjustments made were sharpening and framing. No cropping. The sky was amazing this evening. This is a small section of it.

Mary SO glad you left it in colour, it is spectacular, love the rays and the reflections on the water. The landing strip [not sure what you call it :)] really adds to the composition, breaking it up into layers of light and shade/silhouettes really excellent

Beautiful capture of the rays, and the mellow colours really give this a peaceful feel. The dock seems like it's almost too sharp though... perhaps it's just my monitor.
I'm glad you stayed with colour for this, as the muted blues come across wonderfully.

An amazing sky Mary, absolutely, and I'm so glad you shared it with us. You really captured it's beauty and majesty very well...and the way it reflects on the water is so wonderful, and wonderfully done...I like that you kept it in color, that blue in the sky contrasted with the blue in the water is beautiful..I am always so amazed at your beautiful images...you are so talented..and good with that camera....beautifully done as always...such a treat....:):)Linda

Excellent choice, not turn this masgificent photo into B&W, dear Mary. Although I'm not religius, the effect of the rays is as if a higher being were trying to communicate.
Thank you for your very kind comments on my "From the field 2, 3 and 4."
I think you asked about the ring-flash. It is a ring formed flash, much weaker than the bigger flash, but very useful when used off camera, especially in a way that the the subject, such as a flower, is between it and the camera. In these circumstances it brings forth the trancelucency of the flower. Its only drawback is that if your camera is not a TTL one (mearing light, including that of flashes) through the lense, you have to rely on experience and trial and error to get the result you are after, in terms of appeture, distance from the subject etc. This is the case with my Fuji Finepix S7000. It took me quite some time to get the right measurments.
Best regards,
Rafi

:)
Although you said "another ray picture", a great landscape for me. I would like to be there for sure. It reminded me the place where I saw Aurora Borealis.

I think, most of the photographs of nature could be said "another .... picture". The point is you are the one to shoot that "picture"!

By the way, reading the comments to your photo, I learnt new English words :)
crepuscular & to swell

I like your miminalist border with this. i did't say much with some of your others that were a little large for my taste. I t seems like a small thing overall but framing does take a lot of considewring and you don't want to just do the same thing all the time either. Great simplicty and clarity in this image.
