Great moment. There's something about the image that keps it from really standing out, but I can't quite figure it out. It's probably a combination of the mixed background (the head gets lost a bit in the bright background), being slightly soft, and the reflections (my eye is drawn to the neat patterns where its legs enter the water).

The catfish is well caught. So is this image. You made your own luck by chancing it to the water course on a bleak day and it paid off handsomely.

Three cracking shots. This one is a real beauty, with lovely details in the feathers and very good natural behaviour illustration.
