Very nice capture Aurobindo. Nice colors.
And thanks Debashri for your advise. I tried it on one of my shots and was able to get the desired blur.
regards, anurag

Well I will tell you the procedure here only. After loading the image (the image only, not after adding the borders), first create a duplicate layer by going into the layer menu in the tool bar. Make sure that the "Duplicate Layer as" is set to "Background". After this is done, select "Magnetic Lasso" tool from the tool palate on the right (in my computer) of the montor. Using this tool cut out the flower (the outline ). When you have completed marking the entire outline of the flower you will see a small circle against the sursor when you reach the point where you have started while cutting an outline with the flower. then with a single click you will find out that the whole flower outline will be highlighted. Then cut the flower (you can press ALT + X). After this go to "Fitler" menu > "Blur" > and select "Gausian Blur". Adjust the slider to get your desired background blur effect". Here is an example of your shot which I have blurred using the above process.

Sure, I will teach you the process its very simple. I have also leared this process from another usefilm member Judi Liosatos. Please give me you email address so that I can send you a detailed process description. Hope you have some idea regarding working with Photoshop 6. I have PS 6, I guess all the later versions have more or less the same features.

Thanks for your comments. Yes, from now on I will keep brightness, contrast, and sharpness in low setting in V1. U'r correct. Its bit too bright.

Wonderful Photograph Aurobindo, Great colors and Composition. A little over bright... Try reducing your exposure bias on your camera when shooting in bright daylight.

Thanks for sharing?
