Excellent wildlife image James, it tells a good story w/ the baby stayingg close to it's mother, and them both inquisitively looking over at you.

You might also like the Wimberly, Sidekick or regular, with the 200-400. If I remember correctly, the Wimberly folks recommend the full-up head for a 600 because they're so heavy, and even hint that a 500 is marginal with the Sidekick. But like I said, I'm quite satisfied with the Sidekick for my 500. So, you might want to see if anyone is using a Sidekick with a 600.

Excellent composition and a quality shot.
James thank you for the comments and tips on the tri pod.
The new 200-400 is a bit to heavy for my tri pod and I'm working on a new one.
I had in mind the Wimberly , but now I will also check out the Sidekick.
I look forward to viewing your Andean condors.

Hi James, these lamas emerging on top of the hill with only the faint illusion of the slope in the background make this a truly fantastic shot. Very well timed and composed, top notch wildlife shot...:) Maybe the tones could use a bit more saturation, but that's barely necessary, and can be classified as a jealous kind of nitpicking.

Cheers,

Hugo
