Excellent viewpoint George... you can just make out the detail in the brickwork on the archway which offers a great contrast to the lighter stonework inside.. brilliant shot.. just a shame it's your last one...

Your right.. you really must come back for a visit (& don't forget the camera... lol)

Thanks for your comment on my latest from Dunstanburgh... always appreciated & plenty more to come )

Superbe composition et, quoique je préfère l'autre vue, plus sauvage et ouverte sur le paysage des dunes, très bonne photo. Est-ce à dire que j'aurais préféré être des attaquants plutôt qu'à l'intérieur...je ne peux dire.

You have managed to catch the light at the right time to bring out the texture of the stone walls (what's left of them!), shame it's the last one.

Hi George,

I like the framing here and the effect of the arch. a mild pity to have that grass on the left... maybe a plain framing work would increase the focus here. just an idea though ;-)

best wishes,

Thilo

Excellent composition, drwing the eye to the ruins and very good light, just enough to see the texture of the close wall.
Thank you for your very kind words about my "Pink hibiscus" and my "Pink hibiscus, detail." The ring-flash has become an almost indispesable part of my photographic equipment.
I look forward to your photo.
Best regards,
Rafi

Great shot George, sometimes the last ones are the best ones. The worst ones are the ones not taken.
